Ashlee specialises in freshwater ecosystems and biosecurity. She holds a BSc in Biodiversity Management as well as a Diploma and Certificate in Conservation and Environmental Management.
Ashlee previously worked in the Northland Regional Council Biosecurity Department as the Freshwater Biosecurity Officer and was involved in the biological control programme and pest plant team. She is experienced in large scale pest control operations, regional level plan processing and prepares Wetland Assessment and Pest Management Plans as well as freshwater surveys and salvage operations.
Ashlee often works closely with the Department of Conservation, organizing training programs and has recently developed Freshwater Fish and Herpetofauna Biosecurity Action Plan for the Northern North Island region.
